WHO IS HUSQVARNA?

• Husqvarna is a world leader in outdoor power products for forestry, lawn, and garden care
• Named for its Swedish hometown
• Husqvarna began as a rifle factory in 1698 and has manufactured a broad list of innovative products over the years, including typewriters, sewing machines, motorcycles and household appliances like gas stoves and dishwashers. We found our sweet spot in 1918 with the introduction of our first lawnmower.

1689 – Husqvarna is founded as a weapons factory.

1903 – Motorcycles are added to product range and made until 1987.

1896 – Bicycle production starts and lasts until 1962.

1872 – Production begins for sewing machines and cast-iron kitchen equipment.

1959 – Production of chainsaws and engine-driven lawn mowers begins.

1978 – Outdoor product lines expand when Electrolux acquires Husqvarna.

1986 – Production starts for the first riding lawn mower, developed in-house.

1995 – Launch of the world’s first solar -powered robotic lawn mower.

2006 – Husqvarna Group becomes independent again and listed on NASDAQ OMX Stockholm.

2007 – Husqvarna acquires Gardena equipment and garden tools.

2012 – Husqvarna launches All-Wheel Drive walk-behind mowers.
